There are 48 schools in the Aurora Public School District: 31 elementary schools, 2 K-8 schools, 7 middle schools, 4 comprehensive high schools, 1 alternative high school, and 3 charter schools. The district also holds 1 of only 5 vocational/technical colleges in the entire state.
A few of the post-secondary schools are the Community College of Aurora and the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
In the neighboring city of Denver, students also have the opportunity to attend the many universities and colleges that Denver has to offer.
Assimilating yourself into an English speaking country's culture is much easier to do if you take classes at an ESL school. You don't have to worry about learning with students who are more (or less) advanced than you, because you'll be in a classroom of peers who are learning at the same level. Being around other students helps everyone as you work together to learn the idiosyncrasies of a new language. Start your journey of learning English as a Second Language by visiting the ESL Canada
website for the University of Toronto and view the variety of courses that are starting next semester.
